Cook

Each summer, our team of hard-working cooks prepares delicious meals for the camp community. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served hot, on-time, and to the glory of God all summer long. The team in the kitchen loves people by feeding them well, and they have fun doing it!

Head Cook. The head cook serves as a point person for all kitchen staff. This person hires, trains, and schedules the staff. The head cook also sets the menu, orders the food, and ensures that safety standards are met. Apply here.

Cooks-in-Residence (CiRs) are college-aged students who live and learn in community at camp for the summer. They arrive in mid-to-late May for training and serve as shift leaders for most of the summer. It is often possible for these teammates to take a week off at some point in summer. CiRs learn to shape the culture of a team, manage challenging tasks, and lead people courageously. Apply here.

Cooks work somewhere between 3 and 5 shifts a week (6-8 hours per shift) from late May to through late August. From scrambling eggs, to baking cookies, to seasoning chicken — cooks learn to do it all. They are trained to work hard and serve wholeheartedly. Our cooks are rewarded each meal as they see it all coming together. Apply here.
