Prep For Camp

Here's your to-do list!

Pay Tuition- By April 1
  • We send a Financial Information Sheet to families of enrolled campers in March, or upon enrollment afterward. Your balance due is included. If you’re missing the email, please check your spam and junk folders!
  • You can pay by check (to “SB2W”) or via credit card using our Tuition Payment Form.
  • Please call or email our office with any questions at 814-629-9744 or info@sb2w.org.
Make a Pre-Camp Store Order- Between April 1 and May 15
  • Our online camp store will be open in late spring.
  • Clothing items ordered by May 15th will be set aside for your camper and delivered to their cabin at the start of the term.
  • The camp store will be open for campers during the term, and for families on Opening and Closing Day, but we cannot guarantee availability of each item throughout the summer.
Submit Health Forms and Waiver Forms- a week before camp
  • We send instructions about our forms and a login to our online portal in the late spring. If you miss this email or need help logging in, please contact our office.
  • A complete health form (including a signed waiver) is required for each camper. For us to best prepare to care for campers, health forms must be completed through the online portal at least one week prior to the start of your camper’s term.
Make a Camp Store Deposit
  • Our camp store stocks clothing and gear along with basic toiletries, camp supplies, and stationery. You can order clothes ahead of time (until May 15th), and your camper will also have time to visit the camp store and make purchases during the term. We don’t sell any food or drink items at the store.
  • We recommend depositing between $20 and $30 per camper.
You can make a deposit via credit card before or during your camper’s term using the Camp Store Deposit Form.
Tell us about Cabin Preferences and Special Circumstances
  • Cabin assignments are not available before opening day. Cabin assignments are made based on age in order to better facilitate all of the programs, competitions, and activities at camp.  We do our best to honor cabin-mate preferences when campers are close in age, but there are occasions when meeting every request just isn’t possible.  Please let us know ahead of time if you have a specific cabin mate preference.
  • We're expecting that your camper will be with us for the entire term- from 5:00 p.m. on opening day until 12:00 p.m. on closing day. If you anticipate that your camper may need to arrive late or leave early for any reason, make sure to contact our office so we can discuss arrangements.
Pack your Bags
There’s a packing list in the Camper Information booklet at the top of this page, or you can print this PDF version. Please pack carefully- the camp store does not stock everything!

Check out our Camper Information Booklet for lots of helpful details.

Opening Day

Welcome to Camp!
  1. Campers are scheduled to move into their cabins between 2 and 5 PM on the first day of their term. You’ll receive an email with an assigned arrival time 1 week before your term starts. If you need to arrive after 5PM for any reason, please let us know.
  2. As you arrive, the Captains will greet you and let you know your cabin assignments and our Leadership Team will collect your Prescreening Form (available late spring). We will not allow campers without completed Health Forms, Waivers, and  Prescreening Forms to move in.
  3. After you have your cabin assignment, head to your cabin! Counselors will help you move in and get settled.
  4. If your camper has any medications, please see our Health Clinic staff to drop them off.
  5. Our Camp Store will be open during the arrival window, and families are welcome to check out the property before departing. Leadership team members will be in the cabin area and around our office to meet you and answer any questions you have.  Please plan to leave by 5PM, when campers start their cabin meetings.

During The Term

Everyone loves getting mail at camp! If you’d like to write your favorite camper or counselor, just put their name and cabin number on the top of camp’s address. We encourage you to send your personal letters rather than packages, as they give a unique opportunity to encourage and connect. Share positive news about what’s going on outside of camp’s gates! You can also send your camper with pre-addressed envelopes in hopes of receiving more regular correspondence.

Closing Day

Closing Day festivities will begin at 10:30 AM on the last day of camp near the Flag and Dining Hall. We’d love for you to participate in dining hall singing, discover the winning team, and enjoy the awards ceremonies with us.

You may arrive anytime after 10 AM on closing day. Your campers will be eating brunch, but you can pick up their belongings — located either on their bunk or labeled outside of their cabin. After you load their gear, please follow the lead of our staff to park your car. Remember to pick up meds and be sure to look over the “Lost and Found” items.

Closing Ceremonies will begin at 10:45 AM and give us the opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments, attitudes, and efforts of every camper. Closing ceremonies will wrap up around 12:30 PM.
