Take a Look!

Stories

In the nearly 50 years of SB2W,  25,000+ campers have had the opportunity to be impacted by the Lord in this place.  And for every camper there is a story, a story of how the Lord changed a life.  Below are just a few.

Grady Smith
Grady was a camper and counselor throughout the first decade of the 21st century. He’s now a resident of the Big Apple…but some of his fondest memories are in the Laurel Highlands.

Ellen Smethurst
Ellen is wrapping up her college career at Mary Washington where she was a right side hitter on the volleyball team. Although she enjoyed competing as an Eagle, she bleeds Galatian blue. Ellen will return to Lake Gloria this summer on the leadership team.

Doug Molhoek
In 1997, Doug Molhoek capped a 10-year camper career by captaining the Summer One Galatians to a victory.  Later on, he was a counselor and served on Lake Gloria’s Leadership Team.  Doug now lives in State College, PA with his wife, Annie, and daughter, Grace.

Madi VanDyke
Madi has made the trip to SB2W from Florida for the last five summers. She’s a swimmer, a 2012 1st Term Roman Captain, a 2013 crew member…and next year she’ll be a North Carolina Tarheel.
